Local Emphasis

SCAHACC supports local businesses and contractors through multiple affiliate chapters around the state. The chapters are geographic in nature and new chapters must start with at least eight (8) paying contractors from that area. Once recognized as a chapter, a chapter representative is elected or appointed.

Members Welcome

Members may attend, participate and belong to as many chapters as possible.  There are no additional fees needed or paid in order to participate in most chapter meetings.  It is requested and strongly suggested that a response/registration/RSVP for attendance to meetings (even when there is no charge) be provided to staff in advance of these meetings in order to allow for proper planning of room setup and prepared meals.

Board Representation

A contractor is elected or selected to represent each chapter at the board level.  It is hoped and believed that this representative will be able to express needs and wishes unique to the chapter, the area of the state it represents and its members in that area.

Local Networking

Often chapter meetings include a social or networking period of time as well as a program or exchange of information. A member of the SCAHACC staff is generally in attendance as well and provides an update or report from headquarters on current and upcoming activities. Over the past several years, it has become increasingly popular for contractors to travel the state and visit other chapters and non-competing contractors.
