The association has hired a new lobbying team, McGuireWoods Consulting.
What people say and do in government can have a profound impact on your business. SCAHACC and its members know this first hand. That’s why the SCAHACC Board of Directors hired McGuireWoods Consulting to help us work with the legislature and other governmental agencies more effectively.
Founded in 1998, McGuireWoods Consulting LLC (MWC) is a full-service public affairs firm offering infrastructure and economic development, strategic communications and grassroots, and government relations services. McGuireWoods Consulting is a subsidiary of the McGuireWoods law firm and is ranked in the Top 20 of The National Law Journal’s “The Influence 50,” an annual report of the top public affairs firms in Washington, D.C.
Robert Adams is SCAHACC’s lead lobbyist.
Robert Adams is a senior vice president with McGuireWoods Consulting. He has an extensive background in South Carolina politics and government dating back to his days as a Republican campaign consultant. Robert started his career in politics as a disciple of the late Lee Atwater, working on President George H.W. Bush’s successful 1988 campaign for president and later at the Republican National Committee.
Robert went on to run campaigns for U.S. Senator Strom Thurmond, South Carolina Governor David Beasley and South Carolina Lt. Governor Bob Peeler among others. He served in the administrations of Governor Beasley and Governor Mark Sanford, before beginning his governmental relations practice.
Robert has extensive lobbying experience and has been a fan of SCAHACC for years watching from the outside.
Look to meeting Robert in the near future and at the annual convention later this month!
